In this project, research is performed on a swarm of MAVs that will be able to search in a large area in order to detect and monitor forest fires. The MAVs make use of distributed control, so that they do not rely on a central ground station for executing their task as efficiently and effectively as possible. Other challenges include the communication from remote MAVs to the human operator and the design and integration of fire detection sensors into the MAVs.
